Here we are again. My favorite moment of the year. It’s a genuine day of dreams: in the student section, dreams of new careers, marriage, children, new adventures. In the parents’ seating, dreams of what to do with that disposable income they’re no longer sending to West Lafayette. All in all, a day like no other.

My own dreams about today sometimes are more like nightmares. What to say that’s fitting – that’s meaningful but still concise enough to get us on to the main event quickly? Hardest of all, what to say that’s the least bit original?

While dreaming, or daydreaming, about today, I found myself thinking about Purdue Pete. Again, this year, Pete was ranked among the most identified college mascots in the country, and the favorite in our Big Ten Conference.

A few years before your class arrived on campus, someone tried to redo Pete and turn him into some new symbol of our school. I wasn’t here, either, but as told to me, the idea started an immediate backlash, a near-riot, and died within days. I got to thinking about "why?"

Maybe part of it was his uniqueness. At my last count, there were 64 Eagles, 46 Tigers, and 33 Wildcats among college mascots. But there’s only one set of Boilermakers.

But I think our attachment to Pete stems mainly from the way he personifies our self-image of strength. When our up-and-coming football program chose its slogan for this year, it was "Only the strong." One of the year’s YouTube sensations featured a five-foot-nine Purdue player squatting 600 pounds.

I dream of being a doctor.

My mother is a doctor. She always has to work extra hours and comes home late and tired. She has to go to the hospital immediately any time she is needed no matter how late it is at night. When I was very little and still in primary school I once asked her why she chose such a boring and hard . She answered with a smile “Yes I am sometimes very tired but seeing my patients getting better and better makes me happy from the bottom of my heart.”

As I grow up I gradually come to understand her words and realize doctors are noble. I made up my mind to be a doctor when I was in junior school and this has never changed since then.

I really hope to see a world where there is no cancer no Aids no fatal disease no one suffering from illness. But this is only a fantasy. What about the reality? There are still many many people who are faced with disastrous disease and suffering from constant pain. There are still many many people living in miserable condition and live miserably. There are still many many people dying of cancer and leaving the beautiful world reluctantly. All those things make me feel sad because I think everyone has the right to live . I want to help the sick and reduce their pain as much as I can. I want to bring a healthy body to the patients and save their lives as many as I can. I want to see people cured living happily with their families and friends after my treatment. So I want to be a doctor an angel in white.

When I become a doctor I will cherish each life regardless of the races sexes ages positions and occupations. I will do every bit to cure the incurable.

I already have a dream in my heartso I have to make every effort to realize it.As a high school student nowI will seize every chance to study hardarm myself with knowledge prepare myself for the future and strive for my dreams. I will be determined face the reality bravely and not surrender to any problems I meet.

Is’s like Gothe says“The important thing in life is to have a great aim and be determined to attain it.”Being a doctor is my dream. I think it is simple but meanful.

the group gathered there felt something strengthen in them. A conviction that they deserved something better than the shadows, and better than oblivion.

And if it wasn’t going to be given, then they were going to have to build it themselves.

I was 8 years old and a thousand miles away when Stonewall happened. There were no news alerts, no way for photos to go viral, no mechanism for a kid on the Gulf Coast to hear these unlikely heroes tell their stories.

Greenwich Village may as well have been a different planet, though I can tell you that the slurs and hatreds were the same.

What I would not know, for a long time, was what I owed to a group of people I never knew in a place I’d never been.

Yet I will never stop being grateful for what they had the courage to build.

Graduates, being a builder is about believing that you cannot possibly be the greatest cause on this Earth, because you aren’t built to last. It’s about making peace with the fact that you won’t be there for the end of the story.

That brings me to my last bit of advice.

Fourteen years ago, Steve stood on this stage and told your predecessors: "Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life."

I really want to live in a world where disability is not the exception, but the norm. I want to live in a world where a 15-year-old girl sitting in her bedroom watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" isn't referred to as achieving anything because she's doing it sitting down. I want to live in a world where we don't have such low expectations of disabled people that we are congratulated for getting out of bed and remembering our own names in the morning. I want to live in a world where we value genuine achievement for disabled people, and I want to live in a world where a kid in year 11 in a Melbourne high school is not one bit surprised that his new teacher is a wheelchair user. Disability doesn't make you exceptional, but questioning what you think you know about it does. Thank you.

Now, to the Class of 20xx: I want to express just how proud we are of all that you have accomplished during your time at Stanford, and of all the hard work that brought you to this stadium this morning.

Today, we will award 1,792 bachelor’s degrees, 2,389 master’s degrees, and 1,038 doctoral degrees.

For those students who are receiving bachelor’s degrees:

· 313 will graduate with departmental honors and 301 with university distinction.

· 106 have satisfied the requirements of more than one major and 33 are graduating with dual bachelor’s degrees.

· 451 of our seniors completed minors and 201 will graduate with both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree.

As Stanford is proud to enroll students from all around the globe, many of our international students will receive their degrees today as well:

162 members of our undergraduate class hail from 55 countries and 79 countries are represented by the 1,077 international students who will receive their master’s and doctoral degrees.

Now, all the numbers I have cited illustrate the tremendous accomplishments of Stanford’s graduates and their potential to have a positive impact on our world.

Graduates, during your time at Stanford, our faculty and staff have dedicated themselves to nurturing that potential in each of you. And I want to take this moment to thank them for their ongoing support and encouragement.

The thing that was a source of shame was actually a source of when I realized and really understood that my self is a projection and that it has a function, a funny thing happened. I stopped giving it so much authority. I give it its due. I take it to therapy. I've become very familiar with its dysfunctional behavior. But I'm not ashamed of my self. In fact, I respect my self and its function. And over time and with practice, I've tried to live more and more from my essence. And if you can do that, incredible things happen.I was in Congo in February, dancing and celebrating with women who've survived the destruction of their selves in literally unthinkable ways -- destroyed because other brutalized,

Even though I went to a school up the river, for today’s address, I wanted to feel what it was like to be a student here at MIT. So on my way over here, I walked through the Infinite Corridor and elbowed my way through 100 tourists. Did they know that Matt Damon doesn’t actually work here as a janitor, right?

Last night, I also paid a visit to one of this university’s most iconic places – the Muddy. I told the graduates there that I had some good news and some bad news. The bad news was I won’t be repaying your entire classes student loans. Sorry. But I told them the good news was I would be picking up the tab for the next round of drinks. That seemed to help matters.

As excited as all you are today, there’s another group here that is beaming with pride and that deserves a big round of applause – your parents and your families. Some of them are sitting out there thinking, our kids are getting a degree from the world’s most prestigious engineering school, and yet when they come home, they don’t seem to know how to use the washer/dryer?

hello,everybody .

I'm happy to make a speech name's sheng aifeng.i'm from kun tong primary y my topic is a story of a small village. next i will tell you a sad story about long ago, there was a beautiful village,it was my nice it was! look, there was a beautiful forest near river, the trees were tall and straight, the sky was blue, the air was flesh, it looked like a green sea.

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today.i have kept the dream in my mind for so long that whoever in the sun is able to live a happy life for ever.

i think this dream is deeply rooted in the future. as we can see, we are now not far away from violence, poverty, diseases, environmental pollution and even wars. most of people are in need of what they have never enjoyed. however, i still can stick to my innermost dream, as i still can see the bright lights in our future. i believe, there will be a day when those from the rich counties are really willing to share what they have with those from the poor countries; there will be a day when we are surprised to find that the word poverty has long been out of our memories; there will be a day when we are together to share our dreams and we will all contribute to making our common dreams come true.

i will not just wait but to take action to live in my dream.

people lived there with the development of the society, more and more buildings stood in our village, many new cupboardstables、chairs and others came out. so woods became fewer and fewer, even some floods ofen happened, people lived there r we hear the story, should we do something for it? we're young pioneers, proecting trees is our duty, let's do by ourselves.i hope everyone makes a contribution to protecting our environment, our hometown anji will become more and more beautiful.

change the world? change ourselves

good evening, honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen。

it’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—change the world, change ourselves。

it’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected。 not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture。

frankly speaking, i don’t quite agree with them。indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions。 (examples)。but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture。

there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china。 on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc。 on the other hand, the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china。 overwhelmed by such a trend, chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture。

with the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important。 we are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth。the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no。 what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture。 only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture。 only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us。

at last i’d like to share a famouse saying of gandhi with all of you ,that is:if you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first。”

Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now I am

standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.

However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very

complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people’

s hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people

who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization of

people’ hopes and ideals.

Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cauuse in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.

What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I am sure

every success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a

successful life!

Wish you all good success!

Hi everybody.

I am so glad to give my speech to you I will start my topic about The Dream English,as you know ,The Dream English plans to put our dream come true。When I was a little boy ,I was so curious about english as long as I heard someone speak english around me,so I am very interested in english.

Thank for The Dream English,I have a chance to learn more about english which is about life and study. In my opinion, english is not only a language but also a contains much useful knowledge and life experience,if we all try our best to learn about it,such as its background and its history,we can regard it as a tool to make contribution to ourselves and our country.

That's all my speech,thank you.

Your accomplishments are also due, in part, to the dedication, to the loving encouragement, and to the extraordinary support of the family members and friends who have championed each one of you in the years you’ve worked toward your Stanford degree.

Now, many of those family members and friends are here today, in the stands of our stadium. Others are watching this ceremony from around the world, via livestream.

They include your mothers and your fathers, Happy Father’s Day, by the way; your spouses and children; your siblings; your grandparents, aunts, and uncles; your mentors; and your peers – people who helped you along the way to Stanford and through your years as Stanford students.

And so I’d ask all the members of the Class of 20xx, seniors and graduate students, to join now in one of Stanford’s treasured Commencement traditions.

Please rise. Think of all those family members and friends who supported you on this special journey. Turn to your family members and friends, if they are in the stands or if they are watching from around the world.

And please join me in saying these words to them: "Thank you. Thank you!"

You may be seated. Yeah.

Good afternoon:

Honorable judges dear teachers and close friends. I’m very glad to stand here to share may speech with you, today I am going to talk about dreams.

Everyone has a dream.

Martin luther king had a dream-and we can recall his civil rights speech.Phil knight had a dream-and now the whole world knows his nike slogan “just do it”.

I also have a dream ,but not only a simple one .

When I was a small girl,my dream was that I would be a doctor when I grew up. I will be the first person who produces a new medicine. this kind of medicine can make teachers relax when they are busy correcting their students’ exercises and preparing their lessons. because one day when I woke up at midnight, I found my father, a senior Chinese teacher, was still busy with his work .i was deeply moved. I wish my father could be healthy and relaxed every minute.

But now, I have another dream ,I want to learn English well. I love English , English language is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on interet and internation trade ning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

Everyday ,I read English following the tapes times, I watch english cartoons the weekend ,I often go to the English corner talking with different people there ,I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English . I ’will try my best .

I know fantasy is hard to com ture, bue dream can. I’ll work hard for my dreams ,I’ll never give up.

Thank you!

The television execs fired Oprah said she was unfit for TV but she kept going. Critics told Beyoncé that she couldn't sing she went through depression. But she kept going.Struggle and criticisms are prerequisites for greatness. That is the law of this universe and no one escapes it. Because pain is life but you can choose what type? Either the pain on the road to success or the pain of being haunted with regret. You want my advice? Don't think twice. We have been given a gift that we call life. So dont blow it. Youre not defined by your past instead you were born anew in each moment. So own it now.Sometimes you've got to leap. And grow your wings on the way down. You better get the shot off before the clock runs out because there is ain't no over time in life, no do over. And I know what sound like I'm preaching on speaking with force but if you don't use your gift then you sell not only yourself, but the whole world. Sure.

so if we want to learn english well ,we must practice reading englisheveryday ,acturally practicing repeatly is the best way to you speak ,don't care how poorly or how well you speak just care aboutcatching the chance to speak……
